Great Game but...

Antibiotics don't kill viruses, they kill bacteria.

Where Were You Able to Find These?!

I've looked all over for FF7 sound effects! Is there anyway you could point me to where to get them?? Thanks..!

Pretty Slick

Here is what you need...
1) tempo control
2) real drum sounds and melody loops
3) better graphics (im sure i am the 999999th person to say that)
4) descriptions for each block (having to drop each one to figure out what the hell it is kinda sucks)
5) a stop and rewind button for the timeline

and finally
6) maybe you could add more than one beat timeline so you can layer sounds. That will be especially cool once you get some melody blocks.

Anyways, this was a great idea with alot of potential. I hope you make another version.

Very Impressive

This has some real potential. The only things that bothered me were:

A) the battle controls being different from the world controls

and B) the backround images had a much lower resolution than the character sprites. In a game recreation, its important to keep everything consistent. I hope you've gotten a storyline together...

Awesome!

Squiggly fish (trouter) and Lakidu (the cloud fucker who throw spiny eggs at Mario) are by far the most underrated of all Mario antagonists. Finally, the spotlight has been thrusted onto this great character (much to the dismay of Goombas everywhere).

Seriously, love the game, love the secret stuff, LOVE the music (T&C fo' life), and the controls weren't that bad. For everyone who can't figure it out... use your left hand's middle finger to hit the "A" key, use your right hand's index finger to hit the "D" key, and use your left hand's index finger to hit "S" and "W". It saves your wrists from carpal tunnel syndrome. Great game!

Mockery responds:

EXACTLY. Glad to see somebody understands how easy the games controls REALLY are. :) You're supposed to use both hands.

Glad to see everybody has been enjoying the secrets in the game, had just as much fun making those as with the actual game! Find 'em all!

Great Game

I loved how it was alot like SMB 2. The only problems i saw were: in the special stage you can walk off to the right and it takes you to the beginning of the egypt level and the special music keeps playing. You also need to stop all sounds on the click replay button (or else the sounds keep overlapping).

Tight controls, fun design, good character drawings... this could be a real big series if you make it a full-fledged game.

Yep, it's a game alright

This game is way too choppy.

Congratulations

Flash gaming has just taken the next step. The problem with most flash games is they feel like flash games (a.k.a shitty). This game runs at a gorgeous speed, the animations are fluid, the programming is perfect, and the future multiplayer capabilities of this game will usher in the next era of flash game programming. This game feels like a console game with an emulator.

This game truly deserves to stay at the top of the portal. Congratulations.

You Just Can't Please People Enough...

A score of 2.75 is ridiculous for a game of this caliber. The intention of this game was to faithfully recreate BreakThru in Flash, and I think he hit the nail on the head. The level design is original and fun, the power-up timer was a cool idea, and the game had great physics. So why in the hell is this not above a 3.00??

To be honest, I thought this game played more like a java game than a flash game. The only thing keeping this game from a 10 in my opinion is: when the ball is moving slow, it has an extremely choppy frame rate and if possible give the paddle more angles for the ball to bounce from. The ball either moves 90 degrees vertically, 45 degrees to the left, or 45 degrees to the right. If you made the angles more acute the further you get away from the apex of the paddle, it would add more of a challenge to the game and enhance the gameplay on this already great game.

Thief!

Everyone, type in http.www.512productions.com into your web browser. Click the "Games" bar on the left side of your screen.

From the pop-up menu, click the arrow in the bottom corner of the menu 2 times. What do you see? Drive-By Shooting Demo. It was released April 13, 2000 specifically for 512 productions.

You are busted.
